WA:ERA has reached milestones

WA:ERA has reached a number of milestones in recent weeks:

  • Submitting a final Major Research Facilities (MRF) report to the WA State Government accounting for the $20m capability grant
  • Producing a 2010 Research and Industry Report
  • Submitting a $100m proposal to establish a National Geosequestration Laboratory in Perth, providing key research infrastructure to the Collie Hub Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Flagship business case.  The outcome of this Education Investment Fund (EIF) bid will be announced in August/September
  • Presenting a submission to the WA State Government for the next phase, 'path to impact' co-investment in WA:ERA with a focus on gas technologies and asset/facilities R&D. 

Finally, I'm pleased to welcome Rochelle Campbell as a new member of the CEO's office team.  Rochelle joins WA:ERA on secondment from CSIRO.
