Background

Prior to his current appointment at The University of Western Australia, Kecheng was a lead engineer and specialist for train system project safety for Bombardier Transportation in Vasteras, Sweden.  He was also a research scientist/consultant in reliability, safety and risk management for nuclear power regulatory bodies  and utilities.  In addition to his industrial experience, Kecheng was a lecturer in undergraduate safety/reliability engineering and design for some eight years at Lund University in Sweden.
